Commander Tom Jolls had a morning kids show on WKBW in Buffalo, NY. He came to do his show in his grandson's (not me) first grade class at Meadow School in North Tonawanda sometime in 1987. Get your 80's first-grader perspective on life!

wow, that was a shocker! no kidding, the kid probably bought a plantation, and intentionally over-hired.

i'm a bit disappointed; commander tom was a favourite of mine. but i suppose it was a different time, and a different mentality. our kids are better educated about health concerns now, and we no longer buy into the idea that corporations have our best interests at heart.

i wonder if robbie the robot preferred menthol?

i remember meeting Commander Tom (Tom Jolls) when my older siter to took me to his show at the Skylon Tower. From my memory as a child he was very polite and respectful to everyone.
