Ray was 53 years old. Davis first major tournament semi final he lost 5-0 to reardon, and when he was also 1988 world champ Reardon whitewashed him 5-0. Ray was 56 years old. I like Davis a lot but RR was a bit better than him

Bloody hell! He was a lucky git, if you watch the video about that famous 1985 world final, you'll see Ronnie and it saying current world champion because that video was from 2004.
