Didnt really lose much... It was falling into disrepair, hasn't been open in 5 years... I wouldnt blame the council if they payed those two to burn it down, Its sapping money from what little budget they had left. Would've been a stupid thing for a firefighter to risk his life for. Authough, sure it IS a relic of victorian architecture, but there are much better examples all across the british coastline.

Ah man, this is so so sad. What kind of idiot decides to burn down something as iconic, timeless and TOTALLY HARMLESS as a bloody pier? Disgusting. 95% destroyed... Heartbreaking.
