thanks @ziegegeist i use a panasonic DMC-ZS6 HD surround sound point and shoot camera. it's great. krist's bass was a little much as you can hear distortion start to peak around the heavier frequencies. usually i'll try and stay away from the bass player during shows. if you view some of my more recent videos, you can hear how nice the sound quality is for such a compact camera.

Sweet! I can't believe how great the video, but especially the sound came out. I'm so happy consumer technology has caught up to where something like the sound from a live show won't overload the mic. Thanks again.
