Gene with his second group of Bluecaps. Clip is from one of those '50s rock n' roll movies. Sorry for the poor quality.

  • Gene Vincent and "The Group"?

I thought his Group was the Bluecaps?

    Great video! Thanks!

  • There were several variations of the Bluecaps. The first consisted of Jack Neal on bass, Willie Williams on guitar, Cliff Gallup on guitar, and Dickie Harrell on drums. After a hectic first year of touring, the group disbanded and reformed with Johnny Meeks on guitar, Dickie Harrell still on drums, Bobby Jones on bass and Paul Peek and Tommy Facenda as "Clapper Boys." These are the musicians that you see on this video.
