Nothing better than opening day of spring turkey season in NH. Our hunters were foiled earlier in the morning by this bird and they managed to get set-up on him in a nice maple sugar grove. With some persistent calling, they managed to get him in from a long ways away. Our turkey caller and guide only had so many hands to go around. He had to place the video camera on his left shoulder as he stroked the slate. He managed to get the harvest shot in the camera view with the camera balancing on his shoulder the entire time. That's what makes a successful centeral NH turkey hunt so special. Mature Tom 18.5 pounds, 1/2" & 1" spurs and a 9-inch beard.
Looks like a Mossbery 835, and by the sound of it it must have been Federal 2oz 3 inch turkey load shot size 4, just my opinion.....
