Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Julius Mode) - Gergoth

This battle took me less tries on Julius Mode than the normal mode, for the first phase, I found Alucard uselul since his Gravity Boots can be used to evade his bite and laser attacks, if he jumps, face away from him and slide like crazy, a problem can be his toxic/stone gas attacks since Alucard Sword´s range, after a while, he will go berserk and try to ram at you, as usual, Gravity Boots are useful, as soon as he stomps the ground, switch to Julius and use the Vampire Killer a few times before backing away, the rest of the battle is the same, except Gergoth is quite faster, a good way to beat him there is using the Holy Water.

Can't you just duck under him during those attacks and still hit him? I remember doing that and winning quick because of it

@sakur178 To enter the Mine of Judgement, you must 1st trigger an event. It has something to do with Mina's Talisman given to you by Arikado. Remember the spot in Garden of Madness that you cannot enter cause you don't have a seal? Go there and make sure you equip Mina's Talisman 1st. Then after some long talk with Celia and Arikado. Then you can go to Mine of Judgement where you will see Julius bust the entrance to the Mine.

Still possible since for the most part, the attacks that he used Super jump for can be dodged.

The idea however is that Soma actually has an easier time against Gergoth if he had Super Jump mainly because he can literally take the easy way out and Rider kick it to death. (Super Jump to the ceiling, down kick, repeat) This tactic doesn't work for Alucard since he kicks at an angle and his kicks don't have a recoil bounce so he can't rebound back up.

I wonder what he would have done when he first played this game using Soma, since the hippogryph soul wouldn't be available yet at this stage in the game and so he couldn't use it to dodge like the way he did here.
