Since 1978, Navjeet Community Centre, the outreach of Holy Family Hospital, Bandra, Mumbai, is dedicated to empowering the impoverished. This film, shot at the Navjeet Centre, the slums and rural Asangaon, will give you a glimpse of the work we do.
Through Integrated Health Care, a network of Health Workers, Navjeet provides health care from grassroots to referral, with particular emphasis on preventive medicine, maternal and child health, TB and HIV care.
Education is the route out of the ghetto and Navjeet has balwadis (early education) centres, evening tuition classes, education for street children, and partners with the government in universal education. The focus is on value based, all round academics in art, music, sport, yoga, programs for the Girl Child, etc.
The Navjeet Woman is empowered via Self Help Groups, Mahila Mandals, Community Programs, Micro Finance.
Navjeet's mission is to create a just, kind and above all, EQUAL playing field, by moving the marginalised into the mainstream of society.

Well thats real poor India. They always used to portrait their false image through their bollywood movies and media. More than 70% of inidans population lives the same way as shown in the video. And 30 % got different life style where 10% are elites, and showing theirslevs as real indians and presenter of India.
