There are 24 triangles! There are 16 little squares which can be made into 4 bigger ones which all make the central large traingle, this is surrounded by 3 more to make the entire largest triangle!!!

As Long as they can I don't think it matters You won't see the image long enough to count them wehn you watch it for the first time anyway
