@ElProximo Radical obedience is to actually live like we truly believe scripture. We know it says to love sacrificially, help the poor, orphans & widows, & share our faith no matter the cost. But we don't do it. If we did, we might live far from home in harsh conditions, or sell almost everything to help spread the Gospel. Chan challenges us to live with "radical" purpose, holiness & love. Instead, too many are lazy & lukewarm in our response to God. Hope this helps.

@ElProximo Seriously? 100s of sermons & your reaction is "shut up, I get it, give me a calm practical solution." Wow. What's YOUR problem? You'd have hated Billy Sunday, Jonathan Edwards, etc.
Check your own heart.
Many speakers give calm practical talks on Christian living. That's their call, not Chan's.
Few burn with passion & inspire people to live in radical obedience to Scripture. Chan admits failure, that he's trying to obey God and do His will. When we obey, God shows specifics..

HERE IS THE ESSENCE OF WHAT I BELEIEVE HE IS SAYING (listen carefully) WE NEED TO RETURN TO THE ORGINAL PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH (grow in Christ, spread the gospel, etc.) AND STOP TREATING IT LIKE THE CHURCH IS THERE FOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT. I hope this in some small way helps.

This message, this video, in combination with "Crazy Love" and Platt's book "Radical" have totally messed with my heart in a good way. As of now, this is my #1 favorite message. I think every believer should hear this message.
