Strunjan saltpans - Of Strunjan saltpan were beside Sečovlje saltpans during 15th and 17th century most important saltpan to Veneto republic. They are on eastern seaside of Tržaški zaliv at town Strunjan and saltpans in Mediterranean are northernmost. Work stopped by saltpans for little time, in 3rd to millennium are production of salt round medieval manner again evoked from tourist reasons.
Round building are of Strunjan saltpan of different from Sečovlje, because they have otherwise deceived channels. Three houses are in Strunjan saltpans, that they are protected as ethnological monuments. Two were built at beginning of twentieth of century, third in seventeenth or eighteenth century. Older house is case of typical architecture, first floor is earning as warehouse for salt, floor as family apartment.
