@bogdan1231 Depends on what they would be used for, i doubt square gears are used at all, (wel perfectly square ones wont even work, ever, these have a sligth nudge in the center sides), but the advantage of irregular shaped gears is that you can have rotation speed variations on a single set of gears , hope that answered your question?

Yeah, I guess. They look cool but what difference does it make from regular gears? He should create a functioning, pointless of use, piece of art from these unique gears. It would be cool as a decoration and maybe he could add a motor to one of the gears so it would spin automatically.
