CPU usage on the POST & BIOS screens would have been minimum.
Run a game and do that if you would like to see smoke.

Like others have said, in POST the CPU is barely making an effort. You need to run a game like Tom's Hardware was doing. They ran Quake 3 in all of the CPU tests. Also you just started your computer from a cold start, and let it run a couple of seconds without getting into the Operating System or any kind of application, still showing that the processor isn't doing as much work as running Quake 3.
