The words are from a poem of Tahirih, a 19th Persian poetess and one of the first followers of His Holiness the Bab. Her last words, as she went to her execution for her beliefs in 1852, were, "You can kill me as soon as you like but you cannot stop the emanicipation of women." Thank you, Tahirih, the first woman suffrage martyr.
