BENDIX EXPANDS COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MODULES OPERATION, PART I

Bendix Huntington, Ind., Plant Manager Mike Pogorelc and Bendix President and CEO Joe McAleese speak during a press conference at one of the companys Huntington facilities. During the event, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC announced two new significant business agreements with Autocar, LLC, and Blue Bird Corporation. Autocar, the only major truck manufacturer focused 100 percent on commercial severe-duty markets, selected Bendix as a provider for complete assembly of the cab for its popular Xpeditor® models. Blue Bird, one of the worlds leading school bus manufacturers, expanded its partnership with Bendix by adding the assembly of the integrated control module (ICM) for its All American school bus. The Bendix modules operation offers commercial vehicle manufacturers with expert assembly of a variety of vehicle modules. Modules range from the simplest such as a module that contains a commercial vehicles brake and accelerator pedals to the most complex such as a fully dressed cab module. OEMs partner with Bendix to streamline their manufacturing operations and realize efficiencies such as a reduction of inventory and operational costs; simplification of their supply base; and improvement of logistical processes.
