Health's debut album was released on Lovepump United in 2007.

One thing Health has a lot of is a healthy appetite for experimentation. There's lots of noisy, disjointed, experimental songs on here. Tribal sounding drums, vocoders, squeaks, yelps, all kinds of unique sounds and song patterns.

As a whole, the album lacks balance and cohesiveness. I admire the bands desire to be different, but I think they lack discipline and direction. It has the feel of a band still trying to find their legs and personal sound.

A promising debut nonetheless.

For fans of lo fi, experimental, garage rock.

2.9/5

  • Again, you didn't review the album. You just said "noise" about 15 times and talked about what you could CTRL+C off of wikipedia 10 minutes before recording.

  • I honestly have no idea what CTRL C means, but once again, your perception is eerily precise.

You must have some hi tech idiot radar at your place.

Do you also listen to Abe Vigoda ? I hear they're from the same "noise" "scene" as No Age and these guys, but i haven't checked them out yet.

  • They sound pretty good.

  • Yeah, they do have some pretty cool musical ideas, but this album needed to be a little more thought out. Too much on here sounded random.

It's only a debut record, so you can't really expect too much.

  • good review tbh

  • Control+C means copy, referring to the keys used on the keyboard. It's a fairly common a shortcut, I'm honestly surprised you did not know that. Also the "hi tech idiot radar" you are referring to would be more commonly known as a "brain," which it does not surprise me that you did not know that,

  • it lacks nothing; their debut album triumphs over much of the progressive music over the last decade; you're a horrible reviewer try not repeating yourself over and over, i think cohesiveness was the longest word you used. learn how to relate what you're hearing to others with words; THIS REVIEW DOES NOT GIVE DO THIS ALBUM OR THE BAND JUSTICE!!!!. TRY IT PLEASE

  • lol good review

  • I saw this band back in November opening for Nine Inch Nails. They kinda sucked live.
