yeah but you dont do no footers or can's while racing. no i have not but i race Jr ex in NMBS, and all over cali and most of the west coast. i personally dont do much freeriding, but i do dirt jump. and yes for freeriding or djing you do want flats not for racing though

Yea.... Who wouldn't run flat pedal shoes when riding platform pedals. Besides riding platform pedals are more fun because they allow me to do no footers and no footed can cans.... Do you ride at diablo freeride park?

what about him?... for one he is using flat pedal shoes... i think the 510's or something... they are a hard soul designed to maximize power out of a flat pedal... he is more comfortable with flats... only time a clipless pedal is not beneficial is when there is a lot of off camber... otherwise in the air ,fast, cornering or even rock gardens being clipped in (parrt of the bike) you have more feel and control
