looks like he's using a antistatic mat...used to work in a repair shop and often helped the computer techs..it was fun taking apart laptops. ribbon cables and connectors can be pretty delicate so be careful. I had already spent some years working on tv's and vcr's so was used to working with delicate parts. I'd rather take a laptop apart than a VCR they were a real pain...it was really easy to break them. that's why we always kept plenty of superglue on hand.

Where I work (Samsung) we have ESD shoes, and although I prefer to put on paste, the new parts come with pads.

Man great vid, please tell me the name of the song,i want it so bad !!

@Burkhardj First of all you spelled professional wrong. Second, once you have earthed yourself properly you don't need an antistatic strap (maybe he is using an antistatic mat on the table) most don't have a CMOS battery but some do.

the mainboard wasn't disassemled, the laptop was to get to the mainboard.
Not really professinell.
Forget anti static belt and heat sink paste. Seen in all his videos. Not a good service.
And most new notebooks don't have a CMOS battery, its a capacitor now.

@Burkhardj profesionals don't need anti static belt, we have such easyer tricks. And we don't forget the thermal paste, there are thermal pads. We repair damaged notebooks, and the most notebooks, which are become damaged, are not new...

@jland59 we generaly don't sell mainboards, cause there can be so many problems. we just change them for our customers. if you really bought it from us via a Parnumber, and the board is still in guarantee, you can send it back.
