Sorry the video is so long. Jason was a little less heavy handed on the editing this time. This lets you see more of my random thought processes when I'm crafting. Jason calls it random pearls of wisdom. I call it rambling.
This is how I use La Blanche stamps. Going through inking techniques and the types of ink pads I prefer to use, stamping and then colouring. With a few other techniques thrown in.

  • @EVL14512 Thank you Evelyn I do so enjoy stamping and getting messy. :) Dianne

  • Hi Dianne... fantastic video and never too long! I love watching them... so the longer, the better! :) Just a couple of questions... I was wondering if Stazon black ink is any good for stamping the images? Also, in the finished work at the end of the video, I noticed you used some tiny stems with red rose buds on the tag with the birds. I was wondering where you got them from? Thankyou so much for devoting your time to doing these vids... we all really appreciate it!! Hugs, Julie :)

  • @JEAFantasyCreations Thank you Julie :) I dont use Stazon with these stamps.. It is a solvent based ink and dries to fast for me.The Ranger archival (oil based) is best for me in our climate. Dont get me wrong Stazon is great on glass metal plastic etc but it doesn't do it for me with these stamps. The tiny rosebuds are from " I am roses". They are incredibly cute. Small as they are I still cut them in half at times to create interesting arrangments. Dianne

  • I just did a test video with my stamp and agree with your three black inks, I used nibs with my Distress inks but will now try my water brushes! TFS

  • @roxyfur The water Brushes work great. The Sukura Koi Waterbrush is my favorite most others put out to much water. The Ranger Archival ink does the best job for me Vesafine is fabulous too. i think that climate also affects how well different inks work for us all. It is just an opinion though. These stamps do not like to be stamped in the traditional manner. I like using the finger walking method, it works every time for me :) Dianne

  • @ArtOfCraftNZ Thanks Dianne... I think I'll go for the Archival ink and I'm off for a shop at I am Roses! lol :)

  • @ArtOfCraftNZ I agree with the temps. It's 20 degrees here and Ranger Archival was the worse of my blacks, Versafine and Momento being comparable but with color differences as you noted. I can't get a good result when stamping to paper so I put paper on stamp and rub over the surface. Something that I was originally taught 20+ years ago to be a no-no!

  • @roxyfur Thanks Roxy The owl is a must have ;) I am enjoying the Christmas stamps now and getting messy as usual :) Dianne

  • @roxyfur Beautiful work! I wish I had seen this before getting my stamps, I MUST get that owl! :) Can't wait to see your ticket tute.
