The Oversight Committee holds a hearing, "Domestic Abstinence-Only Programs: Assessing the Evidence" Federally-funded abstinence-only programs require the exclusive teaching of abstinence until marriage and prohibit teaching about condoms or other contraceptives — other than to discuss failure rates. These programs have received over $1.3 billion in federal funding over the past decade. Medical and scientific experts, as well as youth educators, will testify regarding the public health evidence of the effectiveness of abstinence-only programs and of more comprehensive programs. Rep. Lois Capps gives testimony.
It's one thing to challenge youth to wait for a while on sexual activity, but scaring the hell out of them and telling them a condom is a provision for sin is irresponsible! If you want the information that your church won't tell you about premarital sex in the Bible go to the site below.

ANYTHING with the word "education" hanging off the end of it should be taught by parents. Look at how many teen pregnancies there are since the start of sex ed. They teach you how to make a baby, but they don't teach you how to take care of one. We are in the age of 35 year old grandparents. An influx of kids with "ADD"...which is total bull. The young parents are unwilling to be parents. They start their kids off as pill poppers. Instead of high schoolers smoking grass, they're popping pills.
