A bit of history about;
BOTSWANA, previously Bechuanaland, a landlocked country in southern Africa.
1885-Bechuanaland becomes a British protectorate direct under the British Crown.
1890-An attempt was made to hand the country over to the British South Africa Company of Cecil John Rhodes.
1895-Three Batswana Chiefs (Khama III, Bathoen I and Sebele I), travel to London England to oppose this attempt by Cecil John Rhodes, and requested Bechuanaland to remain direct under the British Crown.
The Chiefs succeeded in their mission after a lengthy political struggle, but had to agree on the construction of a railway line from South Africa to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe).
To honor the successful mission of the Three Chiefs, Botswana erected a remembrance monument with their statues located in Phase II Gaborone.
1966-Bechuanaland became independent with the new name "Botswana" and the first President was the late Sir Seretse Khama.
The currency is called "Pula" (rain)and the Three Chiefs are printed on the 100 Pula banknote.
2008-Botswana with the size of France, has around 1.7 million people and is the world's largest diamond exporter.

  • @H1MLA This was in 1895

  • @ezequielc11 I ratherBotswanans do things themselves, than allow a bunch of racists into their nation to abused and insult their people. If they need expert advice, they can always bring in Black Europeans and Black North Americans to develop their economy further. As opposed to racist Boers and others who think they are superior to Blacks.
