On March 9, 2007, Stephen Harper and the Conservatives absatiained on the Liberal Throne Speech. There were no offensive catcalls from the government of the day.

  • The "MAIN OBSTICAL" in Parliament is Mr. Harper. His team is nothing but a bunch of half wits who screw up continually. He knows this and restrains them to the point of producing COLOURING BOOKS for them while in Comittee. Harper's job is to paste on the foil stars and open their thermos bottles.

He does little else except maybe pinch their cookies.

  • Once again, you're perpetuating a load of crap. The Liberals are the main obstacle to making Parliament work. I think that's why they choose to sit down rather than admit they agree with everything the Conservatives are doing.

  • Shouldn't that say 'March 9th 2005' in the "About This Video" section?!

  • Don't forget, they were founded on a lie. Peter MacKay broke a binding agreement in a rush to unite the parties and they have continued on to dismiss or ignore any legal accord/agreement that gets in their way since then. Yup, they may be cursed.... and not just by me,lol

  • (continuation of my previous post)

This stands in contrast to their founding document, which said they'd "combined the dynamism of Reform with the governing experience of the PCs.!

  • Hello Gillhoolee, you raise a good point here. Even though the Liberal Party of Canada still has some internal baggage left over from 13 years of incompetence and infighting, the Bloc and NDP will never form government under our current electoral system. And seriously, the CPC has managed to combine 'the worst of two worlds': the top-down management style of the old PCs with the extremism and intolerance of the Reform Party.

  • All Parties say....

    "They want Parliament to work"....

    1. Why then do the Tories try and govern as if they had a Majority of Canadians support?

    2. Why would The NDP by vote against the speech before seeing it?

3 As for The Bloc...Well the Harper 'gift' of $700,000,000 in the last budget only gets you so much loyalty.

The Liberals are the only Party being truthful in trying to make Parliament work, the rest need their knuckles wrapped.
