This song is by The Civil Wars which I had the pleasure of seeing in Nashville not too long ago (Their voices are incredible live). It is supposed to be a duet but since I did the cover by myself I just edited a few of the words to turn it into a worship song for a single person to sing. :)

What inspired you to re word this song? It's genius. When I first heard the original i was like wow if the wording was different it could be a worship song! and then I saw this and I was like NO WAY I loved it. What made you want to do this? How did the idea occur to you???

@hislovecaptivates thank you! sometimes a song will captivate me to the point where I can't get it out of my head until I do a cover of it and fully dissect it. When I made this video I was thinking about marriage, while I realize the original lyrics represent the majority of relationships out there, it wasn't what I wanted for my relationship with my future husband. If you put God as #1 there is no room for disappointment to enter a relationship. I'm now 6 months into a wonderful marriage :)
