Power Scuba does advanced dives on the USS HOGAN, a WWI/II destroyer sunk as a target in the late 40's. the HOGAN has wolf eels in residence and lies in 125 ft of water. The High Seas wreck is a fishing boat - the nets are still on the wreck, and as you will see, can still be deadly. The wreck lies in 100ft of water. The dive on the HOGAN was my 500th dive.

  • Water was 52 degrees at depth. A little chilly, but not terrible ;)

  • Cool video, I remember reading an entry about the High Seas in "Shipwrecks of Southern California." At the time that book was written it was apparently still very intact. It's amazing how fast the ocean reduces sunken vessels into scattered debris.

  • Very nice! And the vis looks very good.... how cold was the water?

Sad about the little shark caught in the nets.
