1979 yamaha GT80 ride and pictures

(brothers in arms - dire straits © WMG) i got the bike for a project as it did not run and had been sitting in a shed for god knows how long. it had no compression what so ever so i put new gaskets and rings in it and off she went. i do various things to each time i ride to improve how it runs and it goes alright for something from 1979!

it certainly isnt a race bike. probally hits about 70-90km/h.

Hi, WOW, The pictures of the bike in this video, The ones that show it with all the lights on. Is that the same GT 80 you contacted me about? If so it looks like you got the wiring harness figured out? Awsome looking bike. I got the service manual for mine and a parts list that shows all the explodes views. I am finding it to be very helpful. Great fun little bikes! You should keep that bike, you have a great pice of Yamaha history. Good Luck with everything, and take care, flydox : )

hahaha nah thats not mine sorry haha. i just stuck that in there so you know what its meant to look like. the very last pic is how mine looks(minus the speedo). i dont have a service manual. the bike has 0 compression but only just runs. so now i just use my new bike.
