  • @keerdenir your generation blows

  • Sat next to Crosby in NYC at a diner a couple of weeks ago and am still in awe of my luck. I'm always confoundedly aware of the passage of time when I see everyone back then looking so beautiful and young and being so groundbreaking and free. What a great generation.

  • graham nash gave more than a passing glance at the nudists

  • @bookguitarguy Of course there were naked women! These men were just exhibitonists and real high.

There's a hot spring on the site and within 20miles there were two communes in the area.

That day, some guy was handing out "Orange Barrel" and "Green Double Dome" hits of LSD so

ripping off your clothes meant nothing..................There was about eight acts including Joan Baez, John Sebastian and the Flying Burrrto Bros etc......................

  • @sfaster Thanks, I missed that. I'd just tell people about the 1:08-1:10 part... :O)). It must have been great to be that close to the stage-though I guess no one knew they would be superstars at the time!! Funny how a lot of people seemed more interested in watching the crowd/nudists than CSNY!! A year or two later, they'd pay a lot more attention to the band!! BTW, where the hell are the naked women?? :O) Were there any there, or was it just guys??? Or do you remember??? Thanks again...

  • @bookguitarguy I rub my nose @2:24 just to the right of the guy with the orange stripe hat. @1:08

    I'm there also................

  • @sfaster Is that you @1:08-1:10, eating something?? I couldn't find anyone rubbing their noses!! :O))

  • @sfaster Thanks for clarifying that... :O). I was thinking about his Woodstock comment: "This is the second time we've ever played in front of people, man, we're scared shitless", & wondering if a boy from Appalachia might be experiencing some culture shock! Lucky you, to be there-I was only 7 at the time. It must have been great, if you can remember it!! :O)) Never understood why Sea of Madness didn't get more radio play. Would love to hear any other stories you might have about the experience!

  • @bookguitarguy Stephen Stills did'nt care about the nudists. He had a good buzz going that day.

Everyone did, How do I know? That's me standing behind Neil at the keyboards rubbing my nose

It was a great day. Camped at Kirk Creek 19 miles south on Hwy 1...................

  • Steven Stills was a bit overwhelmed by the nudists, I think, but this was only a month after Woodstock & they were a brand new act. He's an extremely underrated guitarist, songwriter, & singer IMO. Appreciate Graham Nash, but his harmony was too loud (enthusiasm?), & could be my imagination but early in the song it seemed Neil was annoyed, having to compete when HE was the lead vocalist. Maybe Graham's ears were still ringing from Woodstock, & he was partially deaf!! :O) Always loved this song!!
