Fred and Adele Astaire performing George Gershwin's "I'd Rather Charleston", with Gershwin at the piano. Recorded in London in 1926, from his score for "Lady Be Good". Remastered and clean by Tormented Artist Ink (me). Wonderfully light, a rare touch now.

  • Well, I didn't boost anything. Only removed noise. The 'high middle' is just disguised on the original by the noise. But to each his own ears. Usually the most difficult part of restoring something like this is the 'tinny' glints that are there but hidden by the pops and haze, like picking out glass from a carpet. But this didn't have that if I remember correctly.

  • Rather over restored in my opinion and too much middle high. It lacks the warmth of the original.
