@Tenzinpelha The bullet is smaller and moves much faster. The 5.7x28mm is designed for armor penetration, so i guess it depends on definition of "stronger" and what you are trying to do with the bullet.

I went with the Kel tec pmr 30

@FiveTwoSevenTHR Not much betterHeck look at my .30 carbine bowling pin video. Those have quite bit of energy even from pistol, yet they still penetrate through the pin rather than like those big slugs from a .45 or .50 AE :) Look at the 5.56 video I posted as a response from someone shooting 5.56 at a bowling pin

@BuffmanLT1 5.56 x 45 out of a 20" barrel would knock them over when it's the same caliber round moving even faster.
-
@FiveTwoSevenTHR I know they do. :) But as mentioned the .45 is a big 230gr slug that's going to knock down the pin, whereas the 5.7 is going to zip through it :)

@BuffmanLT1 Look at Elite Ammunition, they have loadings that Brassfetcher has determined to be equal to .45 ACP.

the solid 5.7x28mm is designed to fly through material like that - it would take a watery or tissue to start the tumbling so I'm not surprised that it's not a good bowling pin caliber!
