I love spending time with my birdies while they are out and about flying. I did have a question (though to some it might seem silly), on the inner right there is a pale yellow budgie, and I was wondering what type of coloring is that? I know all about the patterns and bases and such...but I'm not really good at doing it when I see the birds! I thought it was beautiful, and was just curious as to it's genetics. Thanks!

I have to say that i disagree with clipping a birds wings so that they stay tame... thats almost like breaking somebodys leg so they cant run away, just so that they can be friends with you.
When we bought out budgies they were 'hand reared', they were terrified of hands and one had broken toes cause they tried to fly but their wings were clipped :( the other had a big scab on her chest from falling to the floor. Im just saying that birds should be friends with you because they want to be :)

hi
the birds wings are clipped only for the first 6 months or so once there new flight wings grow back in I leave them, unless we are moving than they get clipped again for saftey. this gives the birds enought time to get used to us as well as there birdy friends
