I remember this song in the late '70s on several 12" records with different endings; Dell-Tone Records had a version with a second break that faded, Guava Records had a version with 2 whole breaks and a musical crescendo ending, and "Super Disco Breaks" had 1 break with the crescendo ending. My neighbor in the Dorm had the Dell-Tone 12", I acquired the Guava 12" in Philly in June, 1979; "Super Disco Breaks" was released around the end of 1980.

September, 1978: I'm in my dorm room at LIncoln University and I hear the guy in the next room playing a song with an incredible Bongo break. (I'm from Philly; He's from North Jersey). I go to his room and say YO! what is that? He shows me the record and I say "Can I borrow that?" I take it back to my room and I must have played that break for a Half-Hour at LEAST!!! I was in my second year; why I didn't hear it the year before I don't know. It was a landmark day in my music career.

@theblood012 Not altogether true. Hip-Hop was already alive when "Numbers", combined with "Trans Europe Express" to make "Planet Rock" came to be. That song was the catalyst to take Hip-Hop to a Global consciousness. It would have came about some other way if this composition hadn't happened.

@APACHEE39 Too much masturbation then? And it's not your channel faggot, it's MrBongoRecords channel. I guess retards are easily confused? If you weren't a moron, you'd just use CTRL + in firefox ( but I guess you're probably a bitch-ass Explorer tard) to enlarge the font and type in proper case like a normal person, but I guess you're too ignorant to think of that?
