وقعت اشتباكات بين الجيش و متظاهري العباسية تبادل فيها الطرفان الرشق بالحجارة و حاولت القوات الموجودة تفريق المتظاهرين باستخدام المياه و قنابل الدخان قبل أن يتراجع المتظاهرون إلى منطقة غمرة بالقرب من العباسية
