Performance by Frank Merandi. An inspiring pianist. The Phantom of the Opera is a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, based on the French novel Le Fantôme de l'Opéra by Gaston Leroux. The music was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Charles Hart and additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe. Alan Jay Lerner was sought after by Webber, but Lerner withdrew after writing Masquerade, saying he was losing his memory (due to an undiagnosed brain tumor). The production was directed by Hal Prince, choreographed by Gillian Lynne, designed by Maria Björnson, with lighting by Andrew Bridge.[3]
In 2004, the musical was made into a film, directed by Joel Schumacher, and co-produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
In 2009, the Broadway production marked its nine thousandth performance.[3]
In March 2010, a musical sequel opened. Its title is Love Never Dies. The opening was delayed from its original date of 26 October 2009.[4] The first act was staged in 2008 at the Sydmonton Festival at Andrew Lloyd Webber's Berkshire country home.[5]

Lyrics
Think of me, think of me fondly,
when we've said goodbye.
Remember me once in a while -
please promise me you'll try.
When you find that, once again, you long
to take your heart back and be free -
if you ever find a moment,
spare a thought for me
We never said our love was evergreen,
or as unchanging as the sea -
but if you can still remember
stop and think of me . . .
Think of all the things
we've shared and seen -
don't think about the way things
might have been . . .
Think of me, think of me waking,
silent and resigned.
Imagine me, trying too hard
to put you from my mind.
Recall those days
look back on all those times,
think of the things we'll never do -
there will never be a day,
when I won't think of you . . .
RAOUL:
Can it be? Can it be Christine?
Bravo!
Long ago, it seems so long ago
How young and innocent we were...
She may not remember me,
but I remember her...
CHRISTINE
Flowers fades,
The fruits of summer fade,
They have their seasons, so do we
but please promise me, that sometimes
you will think of me!
I say perfect

Really good, but sounded nothing like the real song- only the rythm resembled the song a bit, but the rest is so different! Great pianist though. Truly great.
