  • Even though they can't breathe, they're made of fire, so water should kill them. Water and Fire does not mix well, and i'm sure they should not survive long enough if you flood it, however you would've lost your mine, and your adamantine.

  • Yeah, but some simple floodgates would stop the water flow when you wantit, after the demons are dead hopefully. Also the pit at the bottom would drain away the excess water.

  • I hmm I wonder If you could flood the floor they are on and kill them. Like preparing a flood before you even open up the chamber, or flood the chamber itself. I think that would kill the fire spirits. The frog ones shouldn't be too much of a problem.

  • This is one of the solutions im trying, allthough according to the wiki spirits of fire dont breathe, so i dont know if it will help. It ought to douse them atleast or something

  • Fml, I can't get a map with a warm are (without aquifer) and once winter hits, everyone dies of thirst, infection, or drowns in my attempts to make a good well....no underground Rivers either...

  • You've gotta deploy your military and keep them stationed while you work the adamantium, along with other measures (cave-ins)

Unless your working the kind of adamantium i've been working lately, I was able to find the top of the adamantium tubes and its quite safe as there is no opening, just don't follow the tubes to far down. =P

  • The Balrog of Morgoth. This foe is beyond any of you. Run!

  • So basically, if you struck admantium and is not a risk-taker, DROP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND RUN LIKE HELL? Because there's a chance that the vein you struck might be right next to Hell, or a Balrog pit or even a Cthulhu lair?

  • Lol to bad I just learned about this. I found adamantine digging out my central staircase followed shortly after by finding the hell pit. Had no military to speak of.

  • shouldve put a balitsa battery up before you continued mining the adamantine, then unleashed hell down narrow tunnels at several deamons at once

  • Can't you just wall off your tunnel to the pit?

  • Spirits of fire will turn all water that even comes close to them into steam so thats a no-go.

  • adaman-TEEN not adaman-TINE. but AWESOME, the filthy elves got what was coming to them =D

And yes, water should get them, only if you're dealing with tentacle or Spirit of Fire demons though. Frog demons can breathe underwater, obviously. Spirits of Fire are immune to magma. The bottom line -- If you breach a chamber, you'd better have your miner learn how to build walls very fast and seal it since he's closest.

  • I wonder what would happen if one would manage to save some of the caged elves and humans.
