Documentary telling the stories of Britain's last surviving First World War veterans, known as Tommies. Harry Patch, the last British veteran who fought in the trenches during the Great War, and five other remarkable veterans, chronicle their lives after the Armistice of November 1918. Arthur Halestrap survived the war unscathed but almost died of Spanish flu; Claude Choules started a new life in Australia: Sandy Young was forced to find work abroad
during the Great Depression in the 1920s; and Bill Stone stayed in the Royal Navy and helped evacuate British troops from Dunkirk.

i am so touched by these fine men.they inspire me with their courage and with every word they share.i never had a chance to hear my grandfather's war stories from the pacific,it is something i regret very much.may you all rest in peace.

thanks man for these videos...not many people respect their history...im not even british but i bet i know more of their bistory than many of todays british...thats sad ...but thats not the theme now... HAIL all the warriors of world war 1 and 2 wether whey were axis or ally...most of them just fought for their familys and friends.

Very true, I'm not entirely British myself and I know more about it's history compared to my friends who are genuine British.
