  • Gone are the days where all 43 gave a damn. Now its run a lap and park it. Partly the economy. I say give the tops teams like Hendrick, Rousch, Penske, Gibbs, Childress an extra test car. it would solve this problem

  • Truth is this was Dale Jr.s best shot at a title. Had he not got burned in the sports car accident, he'd been very good the second half of the year and he would have probably been good enough to beat Kurt Busch had he not drove across Carl edwards nose at Atlanta. Also should not have cussed in victory lane either, but thats understated. DEI stupidly switched crews on 2005, which wrecked team chemistry, Eury Sr. was much better than his son.

  • @kapenn90 Yeah, everyone had "rookie" decals welcoming NEXTEL, I loved the company because it was based in Herndon where my cousins live. I loved the Nextel Cup Series but after Sprint merged with them the sport it kind of went a different direction and went toward being more business like with the cellphones being sold and then phones began getting more and more complex with apps. Too many suits in the garage area and cash have taken the sport downwards.

  • @kapenn90 but I still think remembering Sr. is more importaint than selling a blasted walkie talkie

  • @sporgie84 No. Because Sprint merged Nextel or bought them(I cant remember which) so it was in reality the same title sponsor

  • @kapenn90 Did they do that when Sprint became the series sponsor?

  • @sporgie84 Since it was Nextel's first race as series sponsor they had a decal welcoming Nextel to NASCAR

  • assholes no silent lap 3

  • This was the third anniversary of the death of Dale Earnhardt. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'm disappointed they didn't have a silent lap 3.

  • Why do some of the veterans have rookie stripes on the back of their cars?
