evrything is good, but the video quality can be better, becours I don't how mother is saying"psss pssss" to a child, make that kind of video again and make sure that are gonna "psss pssss".

Any parent that takes that much time to get to know their childs needs seems like a good parent to me :-)

Wow I can't believe how judgmental people are. People are saying "poor baby" and " she's a bad mom" from a minute and 30 second video??? The mother is extremely in touch with her baby and can tell when they need to use the bathroom.... This is great. More mothers should be so connected with their children i they are able to be. Why Would she rather let her baby deficate and urinate on it's self first when she has the ability to understand her baby's needs and take it to the bathroom. If peopl

@cathrinah05 Is ok to dont agree with it but you cant judge other people just because they dont think like you. She is not potty training him...she is paying attention when he needs to go and make it more comfortable since the position helps him and according to EC babies like all mammals prefer to defecate away from their territory and not on themselves! she is obviously doing what she thinks is better for her baby and so you do what you think is better for yours!

poor baby!

@wendy9599 yup!i agree with you big time!!!!5 week old infant potty training???this is the most stupidest thing I've seen so far!!!poor baby having a stupid mom!
-
As long as it is not hurting them, then back off! If you don't agree than don't do it! simple as that. no reason to be complete assholes.

The baby isn't screaming, or upset. just hanging out with mom who is listening to their needs, unlike most parent who use disposable diapers that don't biodegrade for 500 years and sit in the land fill instead of being responsible and using cloth diapers, "parents would do anything to make their life easier" ...your words I think. People are so incredibly rude. There is nothing wrong with going the extra mile and to ensure that your baby doesn't have to sit in their own poo.

@wendy9599 so anything that you think is different is wrong? It's actually not natural for babies to soil themselves. Diapers are a luxury for most people who are not in the U.S. and they think that we are weird for teaching kids to soil themselves until they are as old as 4 years old. Why do people have to criticize anything that is different from what they do? It is so ignorant! Moms who choose to do EC are not being lazy. In fact it takes a lot more work and you have to PAY ATTENTION to them
Final update on our little man. Its been about two years since I did this video... my son has been in underwear with a rare accident since 20 months old. We now have a new addition to the family and she (1 month old) and I are just starting our wonderful EC journey also <3

Update on on him. He is now 14 months old and has been in trainers during the day for a a few months and now trainers at night for a couple months!!!! We rarely have any misses and I'm just so happy I found out about this.

He hasn't had a poopy diaper in over 5months. (he is 9 months now). But we have wet diapers every day because I don't do this 100% of the time....we do it more part time.

I watched this video back when my baby was 2 months old. I didn't even get books on EC or anything, just put her over the kitchen sink and she peed! I was so excited:) Why don't more parents do this with their babies? We've been going strong for 4 months now. I've dramatically cut back on diapers and she goes potty in the toilet about 80% of the time:)
Thank you so much for posting this video!

@Yuliyayablokova Glad you enjoyed it! Most of the world DOES do this, its just not common in the Western World. In my travels I had ladies look at me like I was crazy when I told them we used diapers here (they use NONE). The wanted to know why we train them to use a diaper, then untrain them later. I thought they made a good point.

I'm glad I saw this video today. My son is 6 weeks old and I've been doing EC w/ him for about a week. Our bathroom has the tub right next to it and I sit on the edge of the tub instead of on the toilet, so it's interesting to see how to sit when there isn't another handy seat available. We're going to go out of town tomorrow and hopefully can have some catches before we come back into town.

I hope you get some catches! We are still going strong at 4 months! Its great to have less diapers to wash.
