Further to my note below, the number of people that would have to be involved in such a cover-up would be massive, with details having to be documented in memorandums, etc. This is not something that could be arranged by word of mouth. So for it not to have leaked at all in all this time speaks highly against the conspiracy. Let's not forget the children overboard scandal, minute in comparison yet that still managed to leak to the public. Most of you are ignoring the big facts

Still waiting for those references and statistics, and an opinion as to why records have been sealed if the govt. isn't afraid of something. And it's quite precious the way your reply to my first question is at the top of the page, giving casual readers the impression it was the last word and I had no answer.

@2WAYFM Thanks for the info. Could we have references/statistics so we can decide if it is indeed "very very rare"? By definition that means exceptions are occasionally made-a retarded man accused of the worst gun massacre in Aust. history isn't enough for an exception to be made? I'm being foolish am I? Perhaps I would be if lack of a trial weren't part of a whole array of dodgy things about the PAM. On my other point, do you have any opinions as to why the records have been sealed?
OK so why no trial and why were records of the event sealed for 30 yrs? You're just arguing by assertion and not backing it up with anything. Oh that's right, a trial would be disrespectful to the families. How often do they lock someone up without a trial because it would be disrespectful to the victim's family to have a trial? I think YOU"RE the one who's being disrespectful to the families.

@TheDamiandemos In Australia, if someone pleads guilty there is very very rarely a trial. We here don't have an opinion on this whole thing but it really is foolish when people say there wasn't a trial as if it was a conspiracy. It was a normal part of our legal process.
