I don't know what your problem is, but I got the same gun in this video (Century Arms) and the handguard did NOT get warm at all, even when rapid firing. I was firing Tulammo FMJ. After 50 rounds it wasn't even warm.
Can you attach a different pistol grip to this instead of the original one? That's the only problem I have with this kit is the that the handle looks like crap IMHO. Are there any other versions of bullpup kits?
@LIRMF WW1 and WW2... Yes there was. And again, it's not solely called "Enfield" is it? Lee Enfield Rifles are always known by their name + their number and mark. For example Lee Enfield No4 Mk1.
@McCarthy331 The L64 and L65 were experimental only, only a handful were produced back in the 70s. The project really died when NATO standardised on the 5.56 round, rather than the 4.85 round developed for the L64/65. AFAIK there are none left.
Then a couple of years later, they were developed into the SA80 family of rifles that we have today.
Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield closed in 1988, not too long after the SA80 family went into production.

I'm getting one of these pretty soon. Found one for about $500 at a pawn shop. Looks brand new.
