The Fast Lane Commute Challenge is a month long competition this October between worksites in the Salem-Keizer area to reduce commute trips. It is an opportunity for participants to rethink their daily commute and discover ways to use local transportation options. Participants can walk, bike, carpool/vanpool, use transit and/or telecommute during the Challenge. Participating worksites include SAIF, Garmin, Salem Health, Willamette University, Oregon Water Resources Department, Oregon Employment Department, Oregon Department of Education, and the Oregon Department of Transportation. It's a way for people to save money on the road and earn some great rewards and prizes along the way! Participants are encouraged to post about their experiences. Stay tuned for updates!
