Midway Atoll Lecture 1 of 3

This was a historical tour/lecture of Midway Atoll in the Central Pacific given during the summer of 2001. It turned into more of an historical lecture than an actual tour, as it took 45 minutes to walk half a block. =)

Covered were Midway's discovery and exploitation, the Pacific Cable Company, the Pan American Clipper flying boat days, and the local events of December 7, 1941 (Pearl Harbor). Unfortunately the recording does not include the last portion of the walking lecture involving the Battle of Midway and post-World War 2 island history.
