DARPA Falcon HTV-2 Flight Overview

The second and final flight test of DARPA's Hypersonic Test Vehicle 2 (HTV-2) is expected to take place today over the Pacific Ocean. The wedge shaped unmanned hypersonic test vehicle is scheduled for launch by a Minotaur IV rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base on the pacific coast, between 7 AM and 1 PM PDT. The flight is expected to take about 20 minutes.

i cant help but notice, has anyone found a solid source or statement on the propulsion system of this? mach 20 with just rockets? the craft seems a bit small to carry the necc amount. i could be wrong.

The comments make me laugh. Relax people While I respect your freedom of speech, it is just a test glider/space craft. This or any other kind of research is not the root of evil and the cause of issues we face. This is only my opinion, but to correct some of the issues the USA faces would be to get back to designing, research, testing, and production of our own products. Limit the outsourcing to other countries by 95%. Then have our products sold in other countries! That is just a start.
