There is a small rock, just offshore at Elliston, which is the closest point to see puffins from shore in Newfoundland. These cute little birds with the big orange beaks are found in high numbers but only in small, specific, areas, and have quite interesting stories. I went to the puffin viewing spot at Maberly (near Elliston) but the puffins were far away on a cliff. Is this the cliff or is the rock you mention at a different spot?
