This is a song I wrote to share with anyone who feels strongly about people who go through emotional, financial and physical drains in a divorce and thereafter. The song particularly touches on able men who find it a dillema after being a father and suddenly having to only spend limited time with the child he had fathered based on the courts rullings. It is about parental alienation after a divorce. So what happens is that the parent who has been alienated from his/her child is not given the chance to prove to the child that although the marriage did not work out, they can't express themsleves well enough to the kid as a parent. Ultimately this is because being a parent coincides with being together with the biological partner of the kid. It comes with the teritory. It is difficult for both courts as well as the effected parties in such situations come up with an ideal judegment as the facts may become very unclear and so the one that actually suffers without fault is the little child.

  • I hear you brother, My son was poisoned against me 10 years ago. Now although he admits I never molested him, he feels I deserved everything that I was subjected to anyway.

  • @MrGunnerRetired . God sees these injustices my brother. Do not dispear.

HE will provide you solace in your heart.

  • @MarshalltunesZZ Solace in my heart won't pay for my daughters college education... and I haven't the means or resources anymore.

  • @MrGunnerRetired, the first step to solving any problem is to find peace from within. With faith, sweat and a little nudge from friends and famiy many have achieved the impossible. I too am going through a great deal of hardship and sufferings which I choose not to share for the moment. But someday I want to look back and say that I had faith in God in my most troubled times. I hope you are able to pick up the pieces and live life to the best you can my friend. Its tough everywhere. Marshall

  • (lyrics - continued)

We sit awhile and talk bout stuff

Sometimes he’d smile and call my bluff

Yeah the park is filled with divorced fathers

    In joined custody

A little boy needs his mum

    Everybody knows that for sure

But what’s a father suppose to do

    In times like these

  • Here are the lyrics: I’ve washed my truck Combed my hair This afternoon its gonna be a big affair Gonna be Sunday Father For the very first time I’m standing on the porch I fix my grin Said hello to my ex wife As she lets me in And leads me to Gabriel For a day at the Park
