It does work, I repaired a Samsung drive 360 (Early versions with design flaw) just the other day. You also need a few more adjustments such as cleaning the heatsinks, applying more heat transfer compound and making sure the xclamps are stirdy. You can't just wrap it up in towels and expect it to work JUST from that. The overheat is what causes the Xbox to FULLY reset after an overheat. The towel trick is basically for a full reset AFTER you've fixed it up. Learn your stuff.
