When I listen to this I imagine John alone in the mid-70's just strumming this to himself and signing thinking back to Beatlemania with sadness. When he was in the middle of it, it went so fast and seemed like it would never end. By the end of the 60's, he couldn't wait for the Beatles madness to end. Now its 1975, the Beatles are no more, his 3 Beatle partners are only occasional friends, and he's in his mid-30's. I dunno, that's what I hear when I listen to this.

Just read the lyrics of Masterplan and Oasis fans are obviously even bigger idiots than I initially thought. Chance/dance Go/Know Shore/More.... Are you 15years old? Seriously, how old are you? Not exactly 'Tangled up in blue' is it?? It disturbs me that the Beatles and Oasis are discussed in the same sentence except as an example of immense imagination, experimentation creativity being unusually also the most popular versus the triumph of myth over substance that is modern popular music.
