@finnerss LFS has extremely accurate physics engine, the problem is, default setups on cars are wrong. If you play with the hundreds of setting trough cheatgame.exe you can do wonders. You'd be surprised how realistic it is. You can make a car in game with same data as some car in RL , and they will act completely the same...accelerations, braking etc, all completely identical to real life.

@kitedude7 Ok, i've seen a lot of things about pure tech racing but nothing about NetKarPro?

Always happy to watch this video.
best physic in moment.

...gioco eccellente.

@richiespeedisback it lacks laser scanned tracks and everthing else is crap compared

There are several real cars in LFS And it's a full Sim. If you call GTR series a sim, please disconnect from the internet. Thanks.

What are you on about lol, Netkar is used by Williams the same way rFactor is used by Red Bull.
And it is much more realistic than iRacing. It simulates chassis flex. That alone is an absolutely HUGE feature all other sims are missing. Also has flatspots. Visual tyre wear. Real interactive cockpit. Best telemetry optimization of any sim.
It is lacking in many departments, like online community, modding, etc. But in terms of physics and realism...
Every thing else is crap compared.

GTR series, also a sim, based on rfactor's engine, more commercial, not as pro.
In regards to pro sims, eventhough I'm not a fan of iracing, none comes close to it, it's also the one that has more millions of dollars poured into it, all laser scanned, and it's not handled as a game but as an electronic sport, all events are done online, with real drivers, you can't just say "I'll play with it for a while" it's a real commitment, not for the wannabe.

LFS Semigame, semi-Sim, no car in the series is based on an actual car, the Sauber F1's physics are off, though BMW and VW reached an agreement not so long ago so that LFS could start featuring some real cars, it still overdoes grass and piano effects, though it has some nice principles like dynamic 3 point tyre temp, but netkar is more advanced to that point too.

Sims professionally been used by drivers for training purposes: iRacing (sim, not game), rFactor (sim, not game), you can actually see RedBull (F1) drivers training on it for 2010 on several sites, plus we also had it running for GrandAm drivers and other series. NetKar, unfulfilled promise unfortunately, great prospect but it's been 5 years with near to zero development, really a shame, we were all looking forward to it.
Great Video and fantastic Sim !
