  • Good sounding 510!!!! I'm restoring a Dodge 6-wheeler K-Series with a similar engine, it's nearly finished so you'll see it soon.

    Thanks.

  • 20 years in a hedge, and it STILL runs!

A true reflection of how well built the Perkins V8's actually are... I love them myself, have 2 Dennis RS's, one from 1979 with a V8-540, the other from 1986 with a V8-640, both have Allison automatic transmissions. Even the smaller straight-6 Perkins (6.354) is an incredible engine. Please please tell me you took the motor out before you scrapped the engine!!

  • that's roughly a bit more than half, innit?! :)

  • Don't you mean HALF a West Mids 108??! Brilliant sounds... many a time spent revving the nuts off one of those trying to get the air back in the brakes... great stuff...
