Yes, as others have posted, it is still the phone number for the Hotel Pennsylvania, but it has been reduced to an all-numeric number.
The hotel was built by the then-mighty Pennsylvania Railroad, just across from their once-majestic Pennsylvania Station (which was razed in 1964 to build Madison Square Garden).
Pennsylvania Station was mentioned in the Glenn Miller song, "Chattanooga Choo-Choo".

Although with today's all-numeric phone numbers, that historic phone number has been reduced to the simple 212-736-5000.

Wow this came up on the home page and, i was like WOW cause I i had an esbembly and they had elder pppl and they played this song and now I think i really like it.

DAMN! that has to be the best i have ever heard this song! i tried playing a Glenn Miller medly once, (similar to Big Band Classics) and this was one of the songs, needless to say we butchered it and never took ti to concert:( but this is cooking!
