Four days after a supposedly historic power-sharing deal was signed, Zimbabwe is still without a new government.
President Robert Mugabe and prime minister designate Morgan Tsvangirai are deadlocked over who should take control of the key ministries, but in the countryside there is another issue dominating people's lives - hunger. From Masvingo province, Al Jazeera's Haru Mutasa reports.

  • The white people who were kicked off those farms did not steal them. That happened a long time ago. Those lands were bought and paid for, fair and square. When the wites were in controle of the farms, Zimbabwe was actually a net exporter of foood. Now that they have been forced out, it is just another famin ridden African country that has to depend on handouts from white run country's to survive. If African land is just for blacks, maybe we should cut of the aid to all of Africa.

  • Ian SMith warned that if the rebels (at that time) took over then their country would become just another African dectatorship. He was correct.

  • See, all you fools should not have supported the scumbag Mugabe. Ian Smith was a fine leader for Rhodesia. Racist dirt had to have a black man in charge, huh ? Well here you go. Isn't black rule wonderful ? Stupid people !

  • You Are Absolutely Correct! But Mr. Mugabe has now become the Gov he fought against .

Sometimes it not corrct to compare past history to present times - the majority of Zimbabwe People don't even remember how evil Rhodesia White People were - as African American cant relate to American Segragationist.

Evil is Evil regardless who is in charge - I can see that Mugabe will probably die in office as most dictators do and he will leave a lagacy of Triumph which ended in DEFEAT!
