Tex Perkins - Beasts Of Bourbon - Sorrow (McCoys-Merseys-David Bowie cover) (Just A Version JTV)

Okay! This is my theory and I'm sticking with it. The Beasts Of Bourbon had just released their latest album, "Little Animals". On the promo tour they get asked to do a "Like A Version" cover for Triple J radio and JTV. They pick a cover of a cover. Most people think it's a cover of David Bowie's Sorrow but in fact the original version was by The McCoys but in the UK it was a decent hit for The Merseys. Confused? But I digress! Tex Perkins and the boys rip out this really cool cover version of "Sorrow". BANG! 12 months later they are doing a BrisVegas cover band, wearing white suits and performing the most cheesy 80's tunes under the moniker of Tex Perkins & The Ladyboyz. Watch as the seeds are being sown for Tex's next pet project.

@Ghostorchid2 Damn yt ... I just noticed your comment, never got notification. Anyway, I was listening to it this morning and saw it. Yeah, I always thought Bowie's Sorrow was the original. Anyway, I'm a big fan of Tex Perkins -- and believe it or not, he's probably a bigger star in Australia than NC ... then again, he's been at it much longer and been with a handful of bands along with doing his solo thing. Oh well, glad you liked it - it does seem very appropriate when it comes to SM ... :)
